On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Waverly High School standout James Schmidt’s college team won in an NCAA Division II baseball game

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Waverly High School standout James Schmidt’s current college team, the West Texas A&M Buffaloes, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Wayland Baptist Pioneers.

The game took place at Wilder Park. This was their first matchup against the Pioneers this season.

The Buffaloes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. at Wilder Park against Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds.
