2.9% of Miami County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Miami County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 508 people out of the 33,968 living in Miami County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Miami County has increased compared to the 1.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Miami County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 17,207 people who had a job during that time, 63 were employed in the Armed Forces and 17,144 belonged to the civilian labor force.
