5.9% of citizens unemployed in Anderson County in 2021

Anderson County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 213 people out of the 7,800 living in Anderson County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Anderson County has increased compared to the 4.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Anderson County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 3,375 people who had a job during that time, 13 were employed in the Armed Forces and 3,362 belonged to the civilian labor force.
