78.2% of Coffey County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 8,361 citizens living in Coffey County in 2021, 78.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 6,539 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,253 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 3,286 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Coffey County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.6%.
