Johnson County hit 22-of-37 second half field goal attempts to fuel am 86-66 victory over Baker JV in the Cavaliers final non-conference game of the season. With the win JCCC improved to 12-4 on the season.

Five Cavaliers scored in double figures, led by sophomore forwards Xavier Kahube and Ryan Gordon each with 20 points.  Kahube scored 10 points in each half, while Gordon did most of his damage in the second half pouring in 14 of his 20 points.  The two combined to hit 17-of-26 shots

Baker was led by Javin Shaw with 19 points.

Johhson County will open its 2023 conference slate on the road against Kansas City Kansas on Saturday, January 14 at 3 p.m., then return home to host Fort Scott on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m.
