Men & Women's Bowling Claim Top-20 Finishes at Glenn Carlson Invitational | Ottawa University
The Ottawa University men and women's bowling teams both finished in the top-20 at the Glenn Carlson Invite this weekend at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The tournament began Saturday and wrapped up Sunday evening. The men's side finished 18th out of 47 teams, while the ladies finished 17th out of 28.
On the men's side, Jerry Jennings and Jared Freed led the way for the Braves by individually finishing in the top-50 bowlers out of 377. Jennings had a total pin count of 1754 through nine team games, for a 194.9 game average. Freed followed with a total pin count of 1734 through nine team games, with a game average of 192.7. Kristopher Quidachay was not far behind in 65th place, with a 1695 pin total and 188.3 game average.
Holly Bridges highlighted the day for the women's side with a top-50 finish. Bridges came in 47th place out of 186 bowlers, tallying a 1598 total pin count through nine games for a 177.45 average. Rebekah Loker finished in 102nd place, totaling 1197 pins in seven games for a 171-game average. Gabriella Hernandez, Jadyn Barr and Danika Hickey all finished in the top-120.
The Braves remain at the South Point Hotel & Casino for another top-level tier-one tournament with the Collegiate Shootout on Tuesday & Wednesday.
