The (RV) Ottawa University women's wrestling team battled at the Missouri Valley Open on Friday and Saturday.
Madelynn Griffin picked up one win in the 130lb weight division, Griffin defeated Ryllee Hope on a technical fall. Livia Swift went 3-2 at the Open in the 143lb weight division. Swift upended Emily Colling (William Jewell) on a fall, Stephanie Floor (Gannon) on a forfeit and Melany Vry (Grand View) on a technical fall.
In the 170lb weight division, Darby Weidl won two of her matches. Weidl took down Zainab Hakeem (Vanguard) on a fall and Samantha Vasquez (Colorado Mesa) on a technical fall. Skylee Dodd competed in the 191lb weight division and went 2-2. Dodd won by falls over Emily Jasenthunenage (Friends) and Angela Archuleta (Texas Women's University).
