The City of Ottawa will be conducting a second citywide clean-up weekend for residents living within the city limits on Friday, October 14ᵗʰ through Saturday, October 15ᵗʰ. We will only be offering two locations and no tires will be collected at this time.

Dumpsters will be available starting Friday at 8:00 am through Saturday at 3:00 pm at the following locations:

•  Parking lot west of City Hall (101 South Hickory Street);

•  Salt storage shed (1300 block of north Cherry Street east side)

TV’s, computers and microwaves are allowed but nothing with freon can be dumped. We also cannot accept any large appliances at any locations.

Absolutely no batteries and no liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters.

Oil based paints can be disposed of at the Franklin County Recycle Center (2039 South Elm Street) Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm with a maximum of 10 gallons per customer for Franklin County residents. Latex paint is not acceptable. Simply add kitty litter or something similar to dry it out. Once it is no longer a liquid form, the dried paint can be tossed in the trash.
