The Johnson County Community College Golden Girls Dance Team is hosting a workshop for high school and college dancers interested in trying out for the Golden Girls or any college dance team. The workshop will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the JCCC main gymnasium.
Check-in is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., and the workshops will run from 1-4 p.m. Cost for the workshop is $15.
Please register by Friday, October 7, 2022, for the workshop.
If you miss the online registration cut-offs, please register in person with either cash or check. If you are doing walk-in registration and are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian at registration with you.
Participants are asked to wear comfortable dance attire and non-marking shoes.

Workshop includes:
• Group stretch/warmup
• 1-to-2 short routines (any combination of Jazz, Hip-hop or Pom)
• 1 short sideline routine
• Technique/progressions across the floor
• Q and A session with current Golden Girls and helpful hints about tryouts
This is a great opportunity to learn what it is like to be on a college dance team. Participants will be working with current members of the JCCC Golden Girls and have the chance to receive one-on-one attention. New and different material will be taught at the workshop, so you will find it to be very beneficial. We hope to see you there!
